I have endured the odour of animal based custard (the smell of hot milk induces nausea) but this ... this is custard. It is fortified with vitamins and calcium. I have eaten this with fruit, cake, all sorts of things, even on its own and it is quite simply as good as it gets. I have not tried it hot as I cannot find a reason to do so. Whether you are vegan, vegetarian, or omnivore, please try it
I imagined these would be somewhat similar to the custard but not so. They are fortified with vitamins and calcium. The consistency is lighter and the flavour somewhat bland. It is not in the least unpleasant but after eating it, I wondered why I had
Fortified with vitamins and calcium, these are rather nicer than the vanilla variety but still a little feeble in terms of flavour. While I like them more, the difference is not sufficient to merit a fourth star and I did not make a three and a half star graphic
Fortified with vitamins and calcium, these are the best of the range that I have tried. There remains a slightly powdery after taste (I do understand that powdery is a texture and not a flavour). That may well be because cocoa solids are in fact solids. A very nice dessert regardless
A relatively expensive range of desserts in a more interestingly shaped pot which, regardless of how long it has been standing in a normal position and no matter how carefully it is opened, seems to splat a small blob of the contents on whatever is in the way. This dessert is a little more liquid than the above mentioned products and the hazelnut element of the flavour seems to disappear after the first spoonful. All in all, not as good as the cheaper product. There are four flavours according to Alpro's Nederland site although the range is not on the GB site at all. I will not be buying them again
These are the only vegan crème caramel I have tried (the only brand I have found) and they are not unpleasant. Perhaps I am just not that keen on this type of dessert. In the absence of anything to compare with it, I am unlikely to find out. Tesco's own brand range is very limited but should not be ignored
